We are getting somewhere!

Things are finally starting to take shape now. We took a week or so off due to travelling, waiting for the plaster to dry...and general busy life things. We did start to get a little fed up of it being at somewhat of a standstill and constantly looking like this...

Last weekend we started painting the newly plastered walls and ceiling with white. I was expecting it to soak in a lot more but we only did two coats and felt as though it covered it well. Dave had a couple of days off and was able to put the 'Goose Down grey on the walls. He also went over the coving with the white to match the ceiling.

Today we have cleaned up a few bits, painted the window sill/ door wood work and put sealant around the window as it got ripped out along with the old wallpaper.

We also made a trip to B&Q and purchased the new skirting boards. We took advantage of the great weather and were able to prime and gloss them all within a few hours. We will have to wait for the floor to be laid before installing them but at least it's sorted!

All these little jobs that we have done today definitly make the difference and the room is now looking like a ROOM! Next up is wallpaper and flooring!
