We have a Kitchen and a new floor!
After a total of 13 weeks and 1 day...the kitchen was installed!! It took 3 days to install and we are very happy with the outcome! It is great to finally wash up in a normal sink, cook on a nice hob and have a brand new fridge!
We have decided to add a central island, as due to the sink and hob positions, we don't get a lot of counter space. This was something we did consider in the beginning but thought it would be too tight. However once everything was installed, we changed our mind. We are going to go for a narrow one to give a bit more room for kitchen duties!
Dave has once again been busy laying the laminate flooring throughout the extension, kitchen and a portion of the hallway. I would like to add that I did play an integral part in standing on bits of laminate when instructed and preparing bits for him to click in. Team work makes the dream work...and all that!
I did manage to smash a plate on the floor about 2 hours after the floor was finished. I blame the new tea towels!! Dave had to take up a few bits to replace the bits I'd chipped..whoops! Public apology - sorry Dave. Just aswell we have all new plates in boxes upstairs!!
