Starting the extension - Week 1 & 2

It has been an interesting couple of weeks, watching things get started. We have had a lot of rain but the builders seem to be getting on well. We had the concrete poured for the foundations on Friday which is exciting as we will start seeing things being built instead of just more digging of holes!

We have had the pipes installed under the floor for the new boiler going in and we have also chosen our new doors and windows for the extension and bathroom. We did originally have plans for Bifold Doors however after thinking about it, we decided to go with French Doors. We didn't feel like we would benefit from having Bifold Doors, as they would probably only be open 2 days a year! 

It is not easy without a kitchen and at one point we had the gas turned off due to a gas leak which made things very miserable. I think we are slowly getting used to not knowing where anything is. My back is not loving washing up in the bath but I am trying to keep positive!

Here are the windows and doors. Hopefully going to be nice and light in our extension with these!
